The Regional Catalogue of Hamburg lists the items of all scientific libraries in Hamburg.

With four million media units, and based in Hamburg and Kiel, the Deutsche Zentralbibliothek für Wirtschaftswissenschaften Leibniz-Informationszentrum Wirtschaft (ZBW) is the world’s largest research infrastructure for economic literature, online as well as offline. The objective of ZBW is transregional communication and providing economic information and literature free of charge.

Together with the faculty libraries at the university (including the Central Medical Library at the University Clinic of Hamburg-Eppendorf and a few smaller research libraries), the “Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Carl von Ossietzky (SUB)” forms the library system of Universität Hamburg. Generally the faculty libraries are located on the campus; a few however are some distance away.

The Hamburger Bibliotheksführer (Hamburg Library Guide) can identify the faculty libraries relevant to your researches (service available in German language only).
