  • Which requirements have to be met for naturalisation?
  • Which steps need to be taken to acquire the German citizenship?
  • What are my advantages from naturalisation?
  • Where do I get support?

Answers to these and other questions can be found at www.einbuergerung.hamburg.de (site in German language).

Tip: Inform yourself especially about the possibility of assistance from voluntary naturalisation guides (page in German language)!

For personal help and advice, you are also welcome to contact the Naturalisation Department’s Customer Service Center (page in German language) located at the Central Office for Residents. Arranging an appointment via telephone is not necessary. Please bring your passport and your residence permit with you.
